GOTT Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2009 GOTT 9 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has complex aromas of cherry cola, cassis, dried tobacco and spice. Characteristic of the 2009 vintage, the wine enters with subtle black fruit and a soft texture on the palate, sweet and chocolatey tannins on the mid-palate, and structured tannins on the finish. The flavors are elegant and balanced with a soft, round mouthfeel.
The fruit for the 2009 GOTT 9 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon was selected from vineyards in the Howell Mountain, Oakville, Stags Leap and St. Helena appellations, with the new addition of fruit from cooler climate, southern Napa hillside vineyards. The mountain fruit gives the wine power and structure, while fruit from the valley floor retains the pure, varietal characteristics of Cabernet Sauvignon. Fruit from cooler southern Napa vineyards provides depth and complexity. After fermentation, the wine was aged in 95% new French oak barrels for 18 months.
