Winemaking data:

Picked at optimal ripeness, hand sorted fruit. Tank and 1 ton bin fermentation and maceration. Pressing dependent on daily tasting. Barrel aged in 80% new French barrels, 20% two-year-old French and American, selected individual barrels for the blend.


Vineyards:

100% Napa Valley: St. Helena, Rutherford, Oakville, Coombsville and Howell Mountain a true blend of the best Napa Valley has to offer.

2004 was a unique year due to the high heat spikes we had in the latter part of the season. With careful attention to all the avineyards and close working relationships with vineyard growers we were able to achieve the optimal maturity of tannins and fruit flavors without greenness or over ripeness.


Flavor Profile:

Aromas of clove, black cherry, plum and chocolate lead to a velvety sweet entry. Rich fruit flavors, good structure with round tannins with a supple, long finish.
